In 1991, Doug Fearn (Founder/Owner) started with the VT-1 (Single Channel), and in 1995, made the VT-2, which was brought on by popular demand. The VT-2, which is his dual channel model version of the VT-1, is one of the smoothest, most musical preamps I have heard in a long time. No matter what the instrumentation, vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, over-heads, strings, brass, wood winds…it adds life (even harmonic distortion) to everything that is run through it. Doug’s inspiration came from listening to his first reel-to-reel recording, which gave him flash backs of his studio of old. This studio featured a tube mixer which he had designed for him self.
